About Michael
I create worlds that invite curiosity. Growing up playing narrative indie games and tinkering with level editors, I became fascinated by how art, architecture and subtle lighting can teach players how to feel before a single line of dialogue is spoken. I am looking for a college where I can be pushed creatively, collaborate with programmers and writers, and grow into a thoughtful game artist.
Why game art and environmental storytelling?
The best game environments are not just backdrops. Light through cracked masonry or moss creeping over a statue tells a story before any dialogue appears. I want to build worlds where composition guides the player's curiosity.
Balancing 3D tools with drawing
I love the technical side of Blender (clean topology, UVs, trim sheets), but I ground every piece in observation. Carrying a sketchbook for gesture, perspective and gouache studies taught me how weight and real light behave.
What I want from a college program
A critique-driven studio where faculty challenge my choices, and teams of programmers, designers and writers to build games with.
